This combines functionality with beauty to create a comfortable backyard experience for family gatherings and hosting friends. The design features a lovely pavilion made out of rich cedar wood with stone applications, which creates an element of shelter from the space without taking away from the rustic feel. The roof was outfitted with modern weather-resistant shingles for durability and longevity, while large screened windows keep the airflow manageable while relaxing. Just off the covered structure is the custom outdoor kitchen. It features a high-end stainless steel grill, granite tops, a prep and serving counter, and an outdoor sink for convenience. This kitchen space works just as well for the amateur cook as it does for the seasoned chef. The outdoor kitchen builds onto the entire aesthetic with natural stone to match the back of the outdoor structure. One of the unique features of this was the work we did with the existing uneven grading of the backyard. The team worked through the grading obstacles with precision and came up with a tiered design that flowed with the site conditions. Native plantings or grasses and hearty shrubs that thrive in New Jersey weather add to the overall design, while creating a comfortable amount of privacy around the pavilion area. The end result was a modern look with a tight nod to the site legacy. The Cozy Pavilion and Outdoor Kitchen experience creates a relaxed experience for each member of the family. Our client continues to rave how the new outdoor area has become a focal point for family gatherings, cookouts, and late-night sit-outs under the stars.
