Privateer South Condominium, Longboat Key, FL P.C. Gormley Landscape Design LLC recently completed a complete revitalization of the landscape for the Privateer South Condominium on Longboat Key, Florida. We take the opportunity to highlight our , which reflects the high standards of quality and creativity we strive to incorporate into our landscape designs for coastal communities. The design included hearty tropical plantings, native species, and sustainable elements that complement the environmental conditions typical of the Florida climate and locale. Eye-catching flower beds, featuring bougainvillea and hibiscus, were selected for their bright colors and durability, as well as ornamental grasses providing a soft textural backdrop and a selection of palm trees inviting the iconic quality typical of Florida living. Overall, a major consideration was addressing the site's drainage problems. Our firm was challenged to ingeniously design and implement a site-wide drainage system to alleviate flooding while seamlessly complementing the landscape aesthetic. We also included permeable pavers for a pathway, allowing drainage of water while enhancing the stylish look of the path. In the end, the created an inviting, calming, yet sophisticated landscape that engages owners and invites guests to use and experience the outdoor space. The soft seating tucked into all the lush greenery, along with the winding paths and other thoughtfully designed spaces encourages strolling slowly and enjoying leisurely time outdoors. The landscaping also incorporates lighting, which thoughtfully adds beauty to the space at night, to create an enchanting retreat. The client was very pleased with our works and commented on the absolute care put into the and the creativity to wholly blend the balance of the aesthetic with the functional. P.C.
