This began with a detailed site evaluation phase where we learned existing conditions, soil composition, and the sun exposure the lawn receives during the day. The better we understood these aspects, the more confident we were to suggest a type of sod. Based on all this, we chose Amerishade sod, for its performance and great green appearance, which works very well in the sun-heavy, weather of Texas. Once decided, our team installed the sod after clearing and leveling the existing ground. From there, we amended the soil with compost, and enriched the suface with perfect seed formula to maximize a healthy root establishment. During the installation process we also experienced some challenges such as grading to account for uneven existing ground and varying drainage issues. Nevertheless, our seasoned gardeners had the experience and expertise to grade the sod and include drainage to take care of all drainage issues when the sod was installed. In addition, we installed a natural stone edge to define the lawn area, which gave the lawn an overall finished look in relationship to the surrounding landscape. The final product was a beautiful expanse of green grass, not just decorative, but meant for playing visitors, letting your various animals run around, or simply relaxing and enjoying nature. Our client was energized and ecstatic at the transformation. They were so pleased with the aesthetics and function of the design.
