Transformed Gardens by Well Rooted Gardens The team at Well Rooted Gardens is excited to share the 'Transformed Gardens' , a breathtaking transformation of an outdoor space suitable for client outdoor living in and around Omaha, which includes Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Fort Calhoun, La Vista, Millard, Ralston, and Washington. This was truly a labor of love, incorporating beauty with function. The designers worked to create zones within the garden that utilized native plants to support biodiversity while minimizing maintenance. We used locally sourced stone walkways and hardwood decking to resist the elements and compliment the natural outdoor landscape. One of the unique features of this property was the uneven grading, which posed issues for drainage and standing water. The design team provided a clever solution to overcome this challenge by proposing a tiered garden and installing retaining walls made of reclaimed timber to provide not just aesthetic charm, but soil stability. The centerpiece of this , however, is the water feature with a dramatic cascading waterfall that provides a calming soundscape for the space to promote tranquility and contemplation. It is surrounded by gardens with flowering perennials and ornamental grasses that provide color and texture throughout the growing season. The end result of the Transformed Gardens was a beautiful outdoor living space that provides a seamless space for entertaining guests or simply unwinding after a long day. The clients expressed great excitement at the transformation, which they described as their own private oasis. Overall, the "Transformed Gardens" is a true testament to the Well Rooted Gardens principles of quality, creativity, and fitting the design to the clients needs and desires. This highlights both our severity to take on challenges and our expertise in creating highly aesthetic and functional landscapes.
