PARADISE VALLEY OASIS Paradoxically-Creative Builder for ARQ 2024/8/2023FinishedContinue reading → Serving Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, North Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and Rancho Mirage, this presented an underutilized backyard landscape purpose as another portion of the landscape and ultimately became a paradise oasis enhancing natural beauty and aesthetics to the rest of the property. The is replete with well-designed areas from a serene Zen garden to a native plant-rich flower bed to a gorgeous sounding water feature. We used quality materials like locally sourced stone, sustainable hardwood decking and outdoor furniture that is built for the desert and will last with little care. The biggest difficulty we encountered was actual drainage of the site where rain in the rainy season may collect. We create a new drainage system within the plinth so the property allowed to be beautiful but also functional. Finally, we chose appropriate plants that will do well in the limited water of the environment and will produce colorful elements throughout the year. The net result is a stunning outdoor area that calls for leisurely use. The result was a retreat to which the client can escape everyday that features a seamless transition between modern design and the natural elements of the surrounding area, and an outcome with which the client was incredibly pleased. The 'ESCAPE' is a perfect manifesto for Yolac & Lloyd's ethos of fine craftsmanship & new solutions in landscape to elevate Coachella Valley Property to the next level of outdoor living.
