WInter Turf by Turf Master Sod Farms Turf Master Sod Farms recently wrapped up a fun landscape called 'Winter Turf', and produced turf for customers from all walks of development, including Fort Collins, Laporte, Timnath, and more. It serves as a testament to our dedication to quality and innovation. It demonstrates that we can design thick, lush, randomly-coloured landscaping that is successful even in colder climates. Winter Turf sod varieties selected because of their winter hardiness and versatility were installed as part of the Winter Turf . They say, we amended the soil like gods walk the earth, creating the right conditions of drainage, nutrition with a tip of a shovel. Unusual weather conditions, including frost and light snow, made life difficult for our teams during installation. But with a talented crew and intentional practices like warming soil and covering sod, we secured successful establishment despite the elements. Not only were we able to add sod, but we also added beautiful landscape elements to complete the space. Carefully selected native shrubs and perennials winter-blooming, and ornamental grasses were front-and-center for a balanced planting dead set on color and texture for the season. The winding path made of natural stone pavers that we built adds a grace to family get-togethers and can also be perfect for a quiet walk around in the garden. The outcome of the completion of Winter Turf was nothing short of spectacular. Not only did our clients love their new outdoor space but this turnkey addition provided additional value to their home, further serving as a peaceful getaway throughout the winter months. When the snow falls the well groomed green and well selected complements stand out in vivid beauty of nature through all seasons.
