About This Project

Nestled on a picturesque, rolling site in Cherry Hills Village, the "Colorado Cape" project represents a harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern functionality. The homeowners, experienced in construction projects, approached us with a vision to enhance their kitchen through a thoughtful addition and remodel. While the existing kitchen had ample space, it fell short in efficiency, storage, and contemporary amenities, prompting a complete reconfiguration. Collaborating closely with Cadre Construction and William Ohs, we embarked on a transformative journey that redefined the heart of the home. The scope of the project included the demolition of the outdated breezeway, which previously connected the house to the garage. In its place, we designed a welcoming addition that features a spacious mudroom, providing a practical space for everyday organization, along with a high-ceiling breakfast room, complete with a cozy fireplace that invites warmth and comfort during family gatherings. To enhance accessibility and aesthetics, a new staircase was introduced, leading to a thoughtfully designed bonus room above the garage. This area benefits from a dormer addition, maximizing natural light and elevating the overall character of the home. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident in every corner, from the carefully selected materials that echo the traditional style of the original structure to the modern conveniences that make daily life more enjoyable. The outcome of the Colorado Cape project is a stunning fusion of style and practicality, where every element has been curated to create a cohesive living space. This remodel not only revitalizes the kitchen but also enhances the entire home, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the family while maintaining its timeless appeal.
