Our recent , ‘Walls and Walkways’ is a demonstration of our commitment to quality. Based in Iowa, we had the pleasure to work with the communities of Coralville, Frytown, Hills, Iowa City, North Liberty, Oakdale, Tiffin, and University Heights both as an enjoyable and functional outdoor space that incorporated the existing environment. This focused on visuals and accessibility while overcoming the obstacles of the uneven landscape and limited space. Our experienced team put together some beautiful retaining walls out of high-quality natural stone. We selected the natural stone for its enduring quality, and aesthetics - two desired traits. Maintaining the vertical wall allowed us to outline set planting spaces with seasonal blooms and greenery. As part of the overall we also designed and constructed paved walkways. These permeable pavers build into established soil and allow for natural drainage without flooding and runoff. The detailed pattern in the paver allows fluid movement to a whimsy design perfect for any outdoor event. We worked hard to keep our material sourcing local for this as an environmentally conscious decision to support our local neighbors as well. Overall the produced some ups and downs, as we learned soil type differences that had quite an impact to our timeline due to the spring rains delays, but the experience the team had from other s enabled us to adjust and work through. In the end, we created a beautiful experience for the homeowner’s family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy while watching their kids play outside, and still, their need was met in a functional manner. Our final accomplishment "Walls, and Walkways" creates something special for our clients. Their home’s curb appeal was enhanced with our personalized design work toward building a sustainable space.
