A stunning outdoor transformation for our fantastic client located in the vibrant city of Iowa City. This was designed to maximize outdoor space for relaxing and entertaining that connected nicely with the existing landscape. The team began with a careful evaluation of the site and the challenges posed by existing and uneven terrain. We chose high-end, durable options - natural stone pavers and decorative gravel - to develop a patio that is beautiful and functional while withstanding the test of time and weather. The design also included a cohesive collection of native plants and shrubs to increase the appeal while ultimately increasing the local biodiversity. Our skilled craftsmen applied a high level of attention to detail throughout the . Despite challenges like drainage and access, the craftsman was able to covert the natural landscape into a beautiful outdoor seating area. After experiencing substantial amounts of rain after initial sets of landscaping, we chose to implement a discreet but good drainage system to assure that the space remained dry and usable. The layout consisted of a generous seating area for the family to gather that was tucked into the existing diverse forest of greenery where it can be used or enjoyed for peaceful connection to nature. The final results yielded a lovely outdoor oasis that did not disappoint our client and has provided them a lovely new space to both entertain and enjoy the peaceful, natural beauty at their back door.
