The Facelift In the Beginning: A dreary, functional and unappealing front yard. The team performed a deep dive into a site analysis, talking through the of the vision and what the client was looking fora modern low-maintenance landscape that would draw the eye and be inviting at the same time. In order to do this, we included many different features like a natural stone path to a detailed entry way. To make the walkways special, we used locally sourced limestone to ensure durability while incorporating the walkways into the nature of the area. To either side of the path, we planted beds of perennial flowers, arranged with one eye toward what would be in bloom at any given time of year, and the other toward the need for a landscape that lives up to its inspirational surroundings all year ’round. The slight slope of the land presented some drainage concerns as we embarked on the . We approached this with a multi leveled garden, using decorative retaining walls to both fix the drainage issue, but also to create more podium space. To enhance the beauty of our nature trails, we selected sustainable, native plants that are a living testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship through low irrigation landscaping and habitat support for local wildlife. The ended with the installation of ambient outdoor lighting that highlights the best elements of this landscape at night invitingly.
