This is the showpiece of what we want to provide quality, sustainability and beauty for all the microclimates of Austin, Pflugerville, Rollingwood, Williamson County, Travis County and Bastrop. Central to the landscape design is a selection of drought-tolerant and native Texas grasses and ornamental shrubs that will thrive with little irrigation and maintenance. Instead, we chose a combination of colourful succulents and tough perennials that can survive in the local climate and still be able to create points of interest throughout the whole year. For the pathways, for example, we used permeable pavers so that rain can filter through and this helps to decrease runoff and contribute to soil health in the surrounding landscape. Natural stone borders were employed to facilitate the transition between thriving foliage and expertly crafted hardscapes. For us, one of the difficulties was how we could minimise the amount of water that was used while still keeping a beautiful look. Our team tackled this issue perfectly through implementation of a smart irrigation system, which waters the plants at the most ideal volumes based on the weather conditions, keeping the landscape healthy while using no more water than necessary. The end product is an outdoor oasis that our clients enjoy and are proud to show off while being an example of considerate environmental stewardship. Not only does the low maintenance landscape add to the curb appeal of the property, but it offers a peaceful sanctuary to entertain family and escape.
