Lakeville, MN by Superior Landscape & Irrigation We are excited to share our latest work in Lakeville, MN, where we altered a client's yard to create a peaceful outdoor oasis that is a balance of natural beauty and function. The overall scope of this was essentially a complete landscape renovation which included a beautiful stone patio made from with a local bluestone that gave both durability and beauty. This was paired with a custom fire pit and seating, which creates an inviting space for entertaining year-round. But it didn’t stop there, to further enhance the aesthetic appeal, we added native plantings and colorful perennial gardens that not only thrive under typical Minnesota conditions, but also support pollinators and wildlife. One challenge we faced on this was the extreme slope of the yard. There were no parts of the yard that were flat, so we needed to come up with some innovative grading solutions to achieve not only proper drainage, but also a flat surface for the patio installation. Our landscape team handled these the very poor conditions and created a beautifully integrated landscape that respects the natural terrain and uses quality materials and skills to create a seamless outdoor experience. As a bonus for the client, we installed an efficient in-ground irrigation system so the gardens will remain vibrant with low water usage, installed decorative boulders, and provided natural wood mulch to help give some texture and visual depth against the green. In the end, our client was thrilled to have transformed their yard into a peaceful and beautiful outdoor space suited to their lifestyle.
