About This Project

WATER FEATURES by MAKEOVER MY YARD Water Features We believe every lovely outdoor living space is worth an investment, and our latest is no exception: Makeover My Yard appears to bring back some of that sanctuary feeling with our brand new look for Water Features. Transforming a pasty patio into a peaceful retreat with the calming sound of water for a client in the Charlotte area, with homes in the East Side neighborhoods of Concord and Harrisburg and further out. This included a complex pond with a waterfall, and this area has been further planted with many native species contributing to the natural beauty and biodiversity of the area. We used first-grade materials such as natural stone boulders from nearby quarries, lifetime pond liners for ease and minimum maintenance. Further, LED lighting integrated lighting accentuates the water bodies at night, made for extremely captivating evening meets. The biggest challenge we had to deal with was how uneven the surface of the clients yard was. We designed with creativity to came up with multiple tiers in the site to get benefit from both having to solve the drainage problems and at the same time providing a hierarchy and both vertical and horizontal complexity to the overall design. An ecologically balanced planting scheme carefully-selected plant species like colorful water lilies and ornamental grasses complemented water elements while maintaining biodiversity. Later, at the end of the , the customer said they were just happy and that the peaceful place had become their favorite place to take time away from everything. The 'Water Features' created a unique experience that not only beautified their property accentuating and complementing the surrounding landscape but also, added great value to the whole property making it an ideal space to unwind & entertain. What we are proud of at Makeover My Yard is our quality craftsmanship and our quality of service and here is proof of that with a stunning landscapes that inspire.
