We are Environmental Design & Landscaping LLC, a proud boutique landscaping business that specializes in transforming outdoor spaces into both functional and aesthetic havens, and our latest 'Back Patio' is a testament to our quality and client satisfaction. In the center of Agawam, the was intended for the client to be able to enjoy their outdoor spaces while working with the surrounding lay of the land. The Back patio is a gorgeous natural stone paver, hand ordered to last and weather well. The local area was again the inspiration the flora and fauna were considered when determining the colors, to allow the patio to harmonize fairly well into the landscape when completed. To keep irrigation to a minimum, we placed low-maintenance native plants strategically along the perimeter, giving some color and enticing local pollinators. One of the challenges we were presented with was the run-off from the sloping topography requiring unique grading to provide a flat surface and control the run-off. We seized the opportunity to create interest and structure in the space through use of natural locally-sourced stone retention walls implemented by our talented team. We added built-in seating in the walls for convienience during group meetings and relaxation. We added built-in lighting throughout the patio so you can enjoy this space day or night. To finish it off, we added a custom fire pit matched with the same stone as the patio that now serves as a gathering spot for evening hangouts. This has resulted in a beautiful outdoor retreat for the homeowner to unwind and entertain, customised to their desired way of living. The homeowner was extremely happy with the results and stated the Back Patio is now a loved area for family and friends.
