Pondless Waterfall for Retired Firefighters Put's Ponds & Gardens was privileged to undertake an impactful landscaping d “Pondless Waterfall for Retired Firefighters,” which is located at the center of our areas of service. This reflects our commitment to high quality and community service, especially for those who have devoted their lives to protect and serve. The primary focal point of this beautiful retreat is a pondless waterfall that will create serenity without the day-to-day consideration of maintaining a pond. The waterfall is constructed from high-quality, natural stone that is harvested from local sources. The design allows the water to cascade down smooth boulders, providing a tranquil sound like nature intended. The water is recirculated using an underground reservoir, making it an environmentally sustainable practice that conserves water and adds a splash of spectacular design. With limited space in a backyard, it posed a design challenge to be creative in making it both beautiful and functional. The designer worked closely with the clients to ensure that the waterfall was incorporated into the existing landscaping. In conjunction with the waterfall, the owner of Put's Ponds & Gardens designed a beautiful backdrop of native plants and ornamental grasses to enhance the magnificence of nature and sustain year-round interest. Drought-resistant, long-term plants were selected for the surrounding area to promote sustainability and to reduce maintenance for our clients. The designer's cleverness shines through on all fronts, from the planner to the placement of each stone to the selection of ambient lighting surrounding the waterfall for nighttime enjoyment. The final result is a peaceful oasis that serves as a daily reminder of the service and bravery of retired firefighters while encouraging community members to come together to enjoy the sounds of moving water.
