About This Project

Oakland Township, Michigan Renovation Pond Put's Ponds & Gardens is excited to announce the successful completion of the Renovation Pond on a beautiful property in Oakland Township, Michigan. This renovation was created to improve the aesthetic and ecological experience of the property. Our team took on the challenge of redesigning an outdated pond that had become choked with invasive plant species and sediment. Using high-end natural stone and durable materials, we built an aesthetically pleasing, well-constructed series of retaining walls, that provided functional support, but also a visual nuance. Our experienced landscapers methodically removed invasive flora and replaced it with native flowering plants that improve biodiversity and attract wildlife. Managing the water levels with heavy rain events, which at times witnesses flooding was also a significant challenge. To tackle the water issues, a custom-engineered drainage system was installed, effectively controlling water movement where it benefits the pond while maintaining the natural visual aesthetics. Most importantly, the pond now provides a tranquil environment that features a beautiful walking path and built-in informal seating for family gatherings or relaxation. The new pond system is delightful for our clients who can now relax and manage ample wildlife that visits their renovated pond while enjoying the relaxing sound of moving water once again. This pond renovation highlights not only the skill and work ethic of the Put's Ponds & Gardens team, but the joy the team receives while enhancing outdoor spaces throughout Oakland County and beyond.
