Contemporary Santa Fe Home Located in the center of Santa Fe, the 'Contemporary Santa Fe Home' offers a prime example of how modern architecture can be brought together with the regional landscape. This included a complete landscape renovation to support the character of the home while caring for the surrounding Southwestern landscape. This incorporates native plantings along with vibrant desert wildflowers and hardy shrubs to maintain low-maintenance and environmentally sustainable practices. A striking stone path composed of local flagstone meanders through the property, providing visitors an easy way to traverse several specially designed outdoor spaces on their way to the home. The team successfully empowered the landscape with a xeriscape garden that provides a special opportunity to water-wise, drought-tolerant species that show off the glory of arid landscapes; displaying ornamental grass, succulent plants, and many others. The presented a noted challenge with regard to the bouldery landscape, which meant making changes to move some soil and create a more level and usable site. Nevertheless, our team executed the plan with expert craftsmanship using local boulders to form among several eye-catching retaining walls that serve as seating to encourage visitors to spend time and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, the provided a modern fire pit, surrounded by additional natural stone seating to create a special gathering space for friends and family. The matter, and rusted metal was used appropriately throughout the to accent the contemporary architecture along with the surrounding landscape. The final result is a landscape that enhances the exterior appeal for the benefit of the homeowner’s outdoor entertainment lifestyle.
