Private Andover Residence Designed by Bellwether Landscape Architects, 'A Private Andover Residence' demonstrates our intentional approach to landscape design in a manner that both compliments and highlights the beauty of this peaceful property. Set in the scenic Andover countryside, this design showcases our talent for blending nature with soft, luxurious interiors. An intricate combination of native plantings, carefully chosen for their robustness and seasonal interest. Locally quarried bluestone creates an exquisite path that winds its way through verdant gardens and culminates in a peaceful water feature that can also become the visual centerpiece and soundscape. A custom built cedar pergola, vines climb for a romantic and private shaded retreat. One of the critical issues we dealt with on this was the changing site topography. We designed and built natural stone retention walls for a natural look while still providing strength. Not only did this provide the solution to drainage issues, but also the opportunity for the two levels to be linked and entice guests to wander through the entire garden to enjoy its hidden delights. We use sustainable materials with an emphasis on durability and low maintenance, in keeping with our desire to practice environmental stewardship. Drip irrigation system beauty not only saves water, but also healthy plant growth which plays an important role in landscape in all seasons. The completed left our client extremely happy, turning their outdoor space into an oasis for gathering the family as well as for solitude.
