Adopt a Winery by TEN OVER LANDSCAPE Tucked into the rolling hills of the Paso Robles wine country, this by TEN OVER LANDSCAPE represents the perfect union of the inherent beauty of the land with the successful integration of usable design, thereby elevating the experience of visiting the winery and vineyard. Our team thoughtfully created a welcoming landscape that improves the breathtaking wine country views while considering sustainability as well as the ecology of the site. The is richly planted with drought tolerant native plants that are perfectly suited to the temperatures and climate of the area. Locally-sourced decomposed granite was used to create a beautifully rustic and durable path to navigate through the lush planting throughout the grounds. To provide a comfortable sense of enclosure and warmth, wood pergolas were handmade and pageantry used climbing vines to provide shade over seating areas for tastings amongst the beautiful setting. One issue we faced was the uneven grade of the site, which provided us the challenge of creating a plan for appropriate grading, drainage, and accessibility. We creatively addressed this issue by incorporating natural stone retaining walls that we were able to blend seamlessly into the landscape, thereby creating a pathway and vegetable planting area pedestaled on a stable platform. A featured element of the is the sublime sensory garden, which has been created to awaken all of the visitors' senses with a collection of vibrant colors and pleasing textures. Not only is the sensory garden visually rewarding, it also celebrates the honor of supporting local pollinators. Each piece, from design to planting installed by TEN OVER LANDSCAPE staff was intentional, thoughtful, and partnered with the creativity of the winery’s vision. The result of the collective work is a breathtaking landscape that improved both the visual landscape of Adelaida Winery and the experience that will be a memory that stays with all visitors. The final result earned HIGH accolades from the client as they communicated their appreciation for how the work revitalized their wineries outside experience and has become a favorite winery destination for locals and visitors to the Central Coast.
