The Raleigh NC Award Winning Water Damage Restoration project involved a comprehensive overhaul of a finished basement that had suffered extensive water damage due to a pinhole leak in the hot water supply line. Located in a seldom-used area, the leak went unnoticed for an extended period, leading to a severe increase in moisture levels and the rapid growth of mold throughout the space. The homeowners, protected by their insurance policy, initiated the restoration process, which began with the careful demolition of all affected materials. Our skilled team stripped the ceiling, floors, and walls down to the wood framing and masonry, ensuring that all mold-infested components were properly disposed of. The existing HVAC ductwork was removed to eliminate any lingering spores, and an outdated full bathroom was completely gutted. The redesign of the bathroom included expanding its size, replacing the traditional shower/tub combo with a spacious, modern tile shower, and adding functional elements such as a small towel closet and a separate entry into an adjoining room, now reimagined as a cozy bedroom. The updates featured an EPA Water Sense-rated commode, a stylish vanity cabinet topped with natural granite, an under-mount sink, wall-hung mirrors, and contemporary sconce lighting. In the newly created bedroom, we installed generous closet storage and installed new lighting fixtures, enhancing the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space. Attention was also given to the old kitchenette/wet bar area, which was redesigned to create an efficient and visually appealing kitchenette while reclaiming space for the expanded bathroom. Our commitment to sustainability was reflected in the use of porcelain tiles, no VOC interior paints, and green-certified carpet and padding throughout. The result is a beautifully restored, healthy, and light-filled living environment that not only meets the homeowners' needs but also stands as a testament to quality craftsmanship and design.
