Woodside Ranch Retreat is a stunning transformation of a 1990's ranch style home nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Bend, Oregon. This project expertly addresses the challenges posed by the original layout, which featured a second-floor master bedroom devoid of any views and an unused loft area. The design objective was to enhance both functionality and aesthetics while maximizing the home’s natural surroundings. The existing master bathroom was cramped and lacked essential features such as a bathtub. To remedy this, the project involved the innovative integration of a small closet adjacent to the loft into the bathroom space. This clever reconfiguration, coupled with the introduction of a two-story bay window addition, has resulted in a spacious and luminous bathroom that is both gracious and inviting. The design employs light, neutral finishes that enhance the sense of space and brightness, creating an oasis of tranquility. In addition to improving the master bath, the loft area was revitalized into a functional office space. Custom cabinetry and shelves were meticulously crafted to provide organization for papers and equipment, ensuring a productive environment that complements the home’s rustic charm. The master bedroom itself received thoughtful enhancements, including two dormer window bump-outs that flood the space with natural light while offering beautiful views of the front yard and horse pastures. The project's completion has not only elevated the home's overall aesthetic but has also significantly increased its functionality. A new entry door featuring glass elements invites light into the foyer while maintaining a welcoming and modern feel.
