The Accessible and Beautiful Master Bath in Carlsbad is a stunning example of universal design, expertly crafted to meet the evolving needs of the homeowners while maintaining a connection to the traditional Craftsman style that characterizes the rest of their residence. Completed in 2017 in collaboration with Keely Brewer Interiors, this master suite addition has been meticulously designed to create a harmonious balance between accessibility and aesthetic appeal. The layout of the bathroom prioritizes both functionality and comfort, featuring swinging glass doors at the shower that allow for easy assistance during bathing. This thoughtful design choice ensures that the homeowners can enjoy their personal care routines with the support they may need as they age. The herringbone patterned floor not only adds a touch of elegance but is also slip-resistant, seamlessly transitioning into the shower area without any threshold to step over, reducing the risk of falls.
