Inland Landscaping by The Great Outdoors, LLC. Located in the beautiful city of Charlottesville and Albemarle County in Central Virginia, this Landscape Designs is the embodiment of The Great Outdoors, LLC. dedicated process of taking a blank canvas and creating a magical outdoor paradise. With a full redesign of a residential landscape, the composition of this design considers both aesthetics and function for this client's needs. The design is built on a thoughtful arrangement of native plants, which were specifically selected for their hardiness and ability to be low maintenance in sustaining garden space throughout the year. An inviting entrance from the street is formed by the stunning cobblestone path that winds its way through the colorful blooms of perennials and ornamental grasses. Guests of the homeowners can easily get lost in the lushness surrounding their outdoor space. As the primary purpose of this landscape design is to have a space to entertain outdoors, a cedar pergola was custom built by The Great Outdoors, LLC. to create shaded area for seating and outdoor living. A natural stone patio built from locally sourced materials blended beautifully into the landscape and create usable outdoor space. The site presented a significant design challenge as there is quite a bit of slope and changing elevation throughout the property. The Great Outdoors, LLC.'s skilled design and installation team built retaining walls from reclaimed timber to create level planting beds and provide a natural visual level of interest. The final outcome resulted in a beautiful tiered garden with multiple elevations, as well a plenty of usable outdoor space while gaining an entirely new outlook of the property. The final was a landscape that a homeowner can enjoy for many years to come as a vibrant celebration of what Central Virginia has to offer.
