Sagaponack Farmhouse Davis Landscape Design LLC DAVIS LANDSCAPE DESIGN is proud to present Sagaponack Farmhouse a functional, beautifully ascetic pavilionWechat labels: DAVIS LANDSCAPE DESIGN LLC in Hamptons Lovers Season 1, 2023 october. Set on a sprawling estate in the middle of Sagaponack, the design needed to be all encompassing and create sensitivity to the compelling location but also add sophistication to the rustic character of the house. Working together we designed a beautiful landscape with a mix of native plantings, stone pathways and flower beds. Lifespan-wise, there is no comparison to bluestone, which makes sense, as this was a traditional farmhouse designso they used local stone for walkways. We chose a combination of drought tolerant perennials and ornamental grasses providing a low maintenance yet striking garden that should be attractive through all seasons. The main challenge we came across was that it was rocky and drainage was required. Our experienced team designed a grading plan to actually pull a sequence of gentle terraces into the landscape to aid in the flow of water while also creating separate planting areas. Not only did this novel method solve the drainage problems, but also provided greater depth and intrigue in the landscape. Then, to add more value to the outdoor life we designed for them, we built a gorgeous reclaimed wood patio area surrounded by fresh houseplants, so that they can enjoy entertaining friends outdoors. The addition of outdoor lighting helped bring some focus to those key features and provide a warm and inviting setting for evening gatherings. The end result of our hard work was an exquisite landscape that the client could only have dreamed of. The Sagaponack Farmhouse now serves as an expression of the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail behind the work of Davis Landscape Design LLC. Fusing form with function, this demonstrates our commitment towards making outdoor areas into personal retreats. Our clients are now able to enjoy their dream landscape that is ideal for unwinding and family get-togethers.
