We took on the to improve the outdoor space of a lovely house, providing our clients a space that has style, function, and captures the essence of the neighborhood. The started with a site visit, during which we learned the clients were looking for low-maintenance, yet beautiful landscaping. We incorporated an assortment of native plants, which are sustainable and advantageous to the ecosystem. We constructed stone pathways out of locally sourced granite that are both durable and aesthetically pleasing in design; furthermore, we engineered them to meander between garden beds lush with perennials that will offer colorful textures throughout the year. The property slope proved to be a considerable challenge; therefore, we constructed a tiered retaining wall to offer stabilization, which ultimately became a stunning feature using natural fieldstone that blends beautifully into the landscape. We took great care to include drainage at the proper locations to reduce water pooling and soil loss, securing the construction of the wall and the surrounding beds. For enhanced outdoor living, we built a custom patio that offers space for entertaining and relaxation. The eco-friendly patio is bordered with fragrant herbs and ornamental grasses, creating just the right atmosphere for outdoor enjoyment. Outdoor lighting was placed in appropriate positions to accentuate specific landscape features while allowing the safe enjoyment of the space in darkness. The end result is a beautiful landscape that reflects the wants of the homeowner and the natural beauty surrounding it. The client was delighted with the transformation and expressed that the outdoor space now serves as a welcoming refuge for family get-togethers and solitude alike.
