This sweeping transformation for a residential landscape marries an incredible site with the beautiful coast while also maintaining a respite space for homeowners alike. Our team carefully planned and implemented a careful blend of native vegetation, hardscaping and usable outdoor areas intended to showcase the beauty of the Southern California climate and lifestyle. The highlighted a variety of drought tolerant plants as succulents, ornamentals grasses, and native California wildflowers, beautifying the property while increasing biodiversity. The walkways and patio area are dispersed with permeable pavers, which promotes proper drainage without compromising the fresh, contemporary look. Local rock was used for beautifully designed stone retaining walls both functional and aesthetic in their form blending into the natural surroundings. The ground had a slope and so grading to level for entertaining while still preserving the rest of the site was one of the more serious challenges we faced. The challenge that faced our team was overcome with terraced gardens providing multiple planting zones adding depth and interest in the landscape. The end result is a beautiful backyard retreat with an outdoor water feature that draws you to unwind, and an outdoor kitchen that beckons you to dine and entertain. The Muirlands added curb appeal as well as a usable entertainment space to create memories. The homeowners were thrilled with the outcome and now have an organic, sustainable design that fits their lifestyle and serves to increase their home value.
