About This Project

The Piedmont with a Twist project epitomizes a harmonious blend of modern functionality and aesthetic appeal, focusing on the comprehensive renovation of both the kitchen and two bathrooms, alongside enhancements throughout the main floor and select areas of the upper level. Strategically positioned in the heart of the home, the kitchen became the focal point of this transformation, where the challenge was to infuse the space with abundant natural light and captivating views. To address this, two adjacent walls were thoughtfully opened up, creating an inviting flow that connects the kitchen with the surrounding living areas. In our design process, we utilized innovative mock-ups with cardboard boxes to explore optimal storage solutions that also preserved sightlines, enhancing the overall spatial experience. The resulting cabinetry features a striking combination of wood veneer and painted finishes, imparting a three-dimensional quality that captivates the eye and adds depth to the rooms. This clever mix not only serves functional needs but also elevates the design, ensuring each element contributes to a cohesive aesthetic. The bathrooms were meticulously designed with modern sensibilities, incorporating concealed storage solutions that maintain a clean, uncluttered look. The playful use of glass mosaic tile accents introduces a splash of color and texture, enhancing the contemporary feel while ensuring practicality in everyday use. The final outcome is a sophisticated space that balances elegance with functionality, making it ideal for both relaxation and entertaining. With a budget ranging between $200,001 and $500,000, this project was realized with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, resulting in a home that reflects the unique lifestyle of its inhabitants. The Piedmont with a Twist stands as a testament to thoughtful design, where every choice enhances the living experience while ensuring that style and substance are never compromised.
