The intent was to enhance the natural beauty of the park while encouraging a convivial atmosphere for users for community gatherings and outdoor enjoyment. The plan was carefully developed, and was designed to fit in the Reed's Edge Park landscape while sustainably creating biodiversity using native plants. Colorful perennials, drought-resistant shrubs, and native grasses were utilized to create playful splashes of color while creating a vibrant tapestry of colors that change with the seasons. The local stone used for pathways, as well as seating areas, created visual interest, while proving durability against the elements. One of the challenges of the park was its location with respect to the river, in regards to erosion and to uphold the integrity of the ecosystem. Our team of experts designed innovative drainage options, and even incorporated permeable pavers with bio-swales to manage stormwater while serving a practical function for the landscape. Overall, the end result is nothing short of spectacular! In addition to walking paths, areas for children to be interactive with the park and convivial space for picnicking were created while creating a beautiful landscape that encourages community engagement. The park provides a seamless integration of nature and recreational elements.
