About This Project

TYPE: Rooftop LoungeRooftop Lounge by B. Gardening Landscape Design Set high over downtown Denver, B. Gardening Landscape Design turned an unused space into the Rooftop Lounge . To accomplish this, it needed a painstaking journey of design and execution to mix beauty with function to create a peaceful escape within a vibrant urban setting. The lush design includes drought-tolerant, native plants to keep it sustainable with vibrant colors through the seasons. The climbing vines on the structure are also beautiful, and have been integrated into a custom wooden pergola for shade and additional romantic ambience. Inviting furniture, perfect for soaking up the elements in your durban home, an MaIor fire pit, enough said. A critical aspect of the was working within the confines of the weight limitations of the rooftop, which necessitated creative approaches to both plant material and structural design. B. Gardening Landscape Design successfully negotiated these limitations by using lightweight soil substitutes and deploying heavier components in a way that keeps the whole thing balanced. The result is a beautiful rooftop lounge that provides an aesthetically pleasing space for the building itself while also serving as a casual social area and a refuge. The client was so pleased with the end result that they said it felt like a “fairy tale comes true,” this was more than anyone had expected. Reflects urban living functionally with an attention to quality design craftsmanship, B. Gardening Landscape Design honours a rooftop refuge as an extension of the rooftop footprint, successfully.
