Oakland Residence Oakland Residence by Camp & Camp Associates-Landscape Architects is located right in the heart of Oakland a that demonstrates the balance of nature and function. This landscaping completely revamped the outdoor area into a peaceful oasis perfect for the idea, the client had for a lively, and relaxing setting. The design includes a site-specific palette of California native plants, designed for low maintenance and sustainability while providing year-round color and texture. Opportunities for relaxation and entertaining abound in key spaces with a beautiful flagstone patio conveniently positioned off the living space, steps away from the residence with the addition of a custom built fire pit made from natural bouldersperfect for star gazing with friends. The addition of evergreen hedges and ornamental grasses, planted in a staggered fashion, creates a visual screen while providing a lush atmosphere and enhances privacy. With the provision of a drip irrigation system, which optimizes water consumption, we maintain our commitment to environmentally friendly working practices. The sloping site posed one of the greatest challenges of this , requiring creative grading ideas to make gardens functional without different the natural topography of the land. To expertly solve this our team created planting beds in terraces that will drain away from the soil to mitigate further erosion and provide a dynamic visual experience. The end result is a stunning outdoor space where the client can entertain, relax, and enjoy while also adding equity to the home. The Oakland Residence is a reflection of Camp & Camp Associates commitment to craftsmanship, design scale, and fit within the environment, leaving the client overjoyed with their new outdoor space.
