Blackstone Boulevard Residence The Blackstone Boulevard Residence, designed by HALI BECKMAN, LTD., is a vehicle for demonstrating elegance and quality in multifaceted landscaping that combines utility with the best of Rhode Island and New Hampshire. The involved a total landscape renovation from a typical yard into an exquisite outdoor environment. The team designed and built a multi-leveled garden of primarily native plants for the local climate to enhance sustainability while minimizing the future need for property upkeep. All of the materials used in the were high quality; some were locally-sourced stone to use in the pathways and walls that not only made the site durable but also enhanced the existing beauty. An obstacle to the was that the property had an on-grade slope, which called for some innovative grading solutions which created distinct spaces for rest or entertaining. An elegant water feature, complete with a waterfall and lighting, became a visually-captivating centerpiece which also allowed water to be heard and the landscape to be appreciated. The results of the simply take your breath away. The client was so pleased that the landscape fit seamlessly with their residence, that the style was consistent in relation to their aesthetic aspirations of beauty and functionality of the landscape.
