The complicated patterning of the stone adds visual complexity while still providing great traction in sunny afternoons in the rain. An example of a challenge we ran into during this was an uneven yard that compromised the landscape. With what was an unofficial grading of soil, we worked intentionally with our training and experience to assure we provided a stable, uniform base that would be properly drained for all rain and stopped any complications with settling soil over time. To enhance the efficacy of the patio, we used softscape elements, including ornamental grasses and flowerbeds that bloom in all seasons. The beautiful colors and textures of the plants add dimension, perfecting the overall elegant look of the rich stone patio. We were thrilled with the finished product - a lavish stone patio that has created a favorite outdoor living space for our customer. There is ample room for outdoor furniture, a fire pit, and decorative lighting that illuminates this stunning outdoor living space, tentatively serving along with the clothing of the family in the sprinkling rain.
