About This Project

The Thomasdale project involved a comprehensive renovation of an early 1960s house located in the North Shoal Creek neighborhood of Austin. Having served as a rental property for approximately 15 years, the home had seen little change since its construction. Our clients recognized the need for a transformative approach, deciding to undertake a complete gut renovation of the outdated bathrooms and kitchen to breathe new life into the space. The scope of work began with meticulous planning and design, focusing on creating a modern yet timeless aesthetic that paid homage to the home’s midcentury roots. High-quality materials were selected to ensure durability and style, beginning with the kitchen, where we installed custom cabinetry, state-of-the-art appliances, and a stunning quartz countertop that harmonizes functionality with elegance. The layout was optimized for both cooking and entertaining, making it the heart of the home. In the bathrooms, we incorporated contemporary fixtures and luxurious finishes, including sleek tiles and modern vanities, transforming these spaces into personal retreats. Every detail was carefully considered, from the lighting to the color palette, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the home. One of the standout features of the project is the dining room, where wallpaper has made a striking comeback. The chosen design, Lohko in Paprika sourced from Wallpaper Direct, adds a vibrant pop of color and texture, elevating the space to one of sophistication and warmth. This midcentury dining area now serves as a stunning focal point for gatherings, where family and friends can come together in style.
