| Mission HouseLandscapers | Bluestar Landscape Designers Bluestar Landscape Designers Mission House On the beautiful grounds of Auburn, Mission House is a true statement of Bluestar artistry and expertise. Architects are like plumbers; while adding a bathroom can beat a lot of homes, these ambitious types make over a home to a zen slab that harmonizes with the land. The had a well thought-out layout which included softscaping and hardscaping. We used drought-hardy and native plantings that were colourful at certain times of the year to make a beautiful garden, whilst achieving something ecologically sound. Materials were also an important consideration; we chose local stone for the pathways and retaining walls, ensuring a degree of permanence and a rustic quality that harmonizes with the architecture of the house. The slope posed some challenges which needed creative solutions to sculpt tiered garden beds and a dramatic water feature which tumbles across the landscape. Our designers mitigated this with an innovative drainage solution to control both the excess rainwater and serve the plant life to keep it alive in the long run. When you consider a simple Phillips home to spend time on a cold fall or winter evening with your family, it becomes easy to see the highlight of the Mission House a wide outdoor entertainment space where the elaborate custom-made pergola and a welcoming fire pit await. Thoughtful lighting & careful planting made for a warm space that our clients were as happy to enjoy as day or night. Through all stages of the design process from concept through to completion, time and care was given by Bluestar Landscape Designers to ensure high quality and craftsmanship, and the end result was a gratifying space that fulfilled all of the client hopes. Now, The Mission House stands as a vibrant symbol of nature and grace, reflecting our dedication to high-quality landscaping throughout all the regions we service such as Applegate, Grass Valley, Roseville, and beyond!
