Text: Beautiful Aquaponics by EnviroscapeLA Welcome to Beautiful Aquaponics, our newest landscape , here in the beautiful Southern California Coast region, brought to you by EnviroscapeLA. The 1,750 square-foot located in the heart of Manhattan Beach was designed to marry sustainable features with functional aesthetics while converting a standard backyard space into a beautiful, self-operating ecosystem. Our team designed this amazing aquaponics system that uses fish farming and hydroponic gardening. At the heart of this is a bespoke aquaponics tank built to professional standards from high qualtiy sustainable materials that will stand the test of time serving as both a functional and decorative feature. We built elegant planters around the tank, filled with a diverse mix of herbs and vegetables like basil, mint, and strawberries in a nutrient-rich home. Designing the system to fit within the small dimension limit and keeping in mind the ease of maintenance are two of the bigger challenges that we had to work with. With a little love from our landscape architects, the entire layout was designed carefully, which included a tiered waterfall that beautifully flows through the garden and helps aerate the water for the fish. We also used reclaimed materials for pathways and seating areas as a sign of the sustainable perspective we took. The result is a practical, sensory feast of a landscape that is beautiful to behold. Everything contributes to an oasis of slight noises of running water, fragrances from herbs, plant colours, and aromas. Needless to say, our clients loved the result gorgeous "Beautiful Aquaponics" that marries beauty and functionality seamlessly. This is a reflection of EnviroscapeLA's commitment to high quality workmanship and creative landscaping solutions serving the areas of Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and the surrounding communities.
