About This Project

The Respass Beach Remodel, a collaborative effort between Designs by Ebony and Marshall Arts, transformed a Suffolk, VA waterfront property into a stunning modern living space that beautifully integrates the indoors with the breathtaking outdoor views. The project encompassed an extensive remodel of several key areas, including the kitchen, laundry room, dining room, master bedroom, master closet, and master bathroom. Our client’s vision was to create an open, airy atmosphere that maximized the natural light and scenic vistas, which we accomplished through strategic design modifications. One of the most significant changes involved removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the family room, as well as the walls enclosing the dining room. This alteration not only enhanced the flow of the space but also allowed for uninterrupted sightlines across the waterfront, making the home feel more expansive. Recognizing the need for practicality in the new layout, we also relocated the laundry room closer to the master bedroom and closet. This decision improved functionality and convenience while optimizing the overall design. The aesthetic choices made throughout the remodel were carefully curated to reflect a modern yet timeless style. The kitchen features sleek flat-panel cabinetry in a crisp white finish, which complements the marble countertops and enhances the airy feel of the space. The master bathroom embodies luxury with its large format white and marble tiles, creating a serene retreat. The craftsmanship throughout the remodel is evident in the meticulous attention to detail, from the undermount sinks to the elegant two-piece toilets, all harmonizing to create a cohesive look. The Respass Beach Remodel successfully achieved the client’s goal of a sophisticated, modern space that not only serves as a functional family home but also celebrates the beauty of its waterfront setting. This project showcases how thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship can elevate everyday living while providing an inviting atmosphere for family and guests alike.
