Before & After By Artisan Home Resorts We're so happy to show off this beautiful landscape transformation that Artisan Home Resorts recently completed in Silicon Valley, one of our 'Before & After' s. Situated within the beautiful community of Saratoga, this represents not only strong quality builders, but also leading-edge innovation. The original property was a stark and uninspired garden with tired shrubs and a neglected patio. We were noticing the space could create a zen yoga or a retreat-like outdoor area. It started with an extensive consultation to help us decipher our clients vision with an emphasis on sustainability and aesthetics. We overcame challenges with uneven terrain and poor drainage by utilizing advanced grading and strategically placed French drains. This improved both the aesthetics and ensured proper water flow. We selected high-quality materials such as the patio flagstone, composite decking material which is resistant to the weather, and low fragile native plants that grow in California. At the heart of the is an impressive filled terrace that presents multi levels to the verdant garden. We constructed a built-in fire pit with lots of seating for lounging. The landscape is filled with colorful, drought-resistant plants and ornamental grasses. They give year-round color and texture. The transformation was truly remarkable. This yard was previously an eyesore is now a vibrant space, merging the natural landscape with outdoor living. The end product was one where our clients were thrilled, in addition to not only adding value to their property but also creating an area they could have family friends enjoy the outdoors.
