Rear yard deck & patio renovation We are excited to showcase this 'Rear Yard Deck and Patio Makeover' completed for our clients in New Jersey by BEECHWOOD LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION. This was an effort to create a seamless transition between the inside and outside, and to incorporate the natural beauty of the landscape. We started by having our team do an assessment of the current yard, as it came with its own set of challenges such as uneven ground and lack of sunlight. We wanted to go to the root of the problem, so we did a multi-level deck made of composite materials that are low-maintenance, durable, and modern as well. It also offers accommodation for hosting and relaxing by the pool, including under-mount LED lighting and custom seats. In addition to the deck, we built a large stone patio in native, natural flagstone. This adds an organic vibe but also makes the scene blend seamlessly with the green shrubbery in the garden. Flanking the patio are jewel-like beds of flowers that are planted in order of their bloom time, so that the pastel perennials provide a soft backdrop for celebrations well into late fall. We completed the decor by adding a pergola, creating shade and a stunning centerpiece for the area. Plus there is a fire pit and the surrounding seating that welcomes cozy evenings spent by the stars, making the rear yard an all-year retreat. The end product is a beautiful remote retreat that is space-efficient, and coordinates with the land.
