Be Inspired: New 11by16' Backyard Ecosystem Pond in Berlin, NJ Landvista Aquascapes is excited to present yet another transformational rebuild we were able to achieve; this 11x16' backyard ecosystem pond in Berlin, NJ. Aims: Restoring the clients of the natural outdoor area whilst creating a sustainable environment. It's graced with native plants like water lilies and cattails, chosen for their color as well as their role as wildlife habitat. Using high-quality EPDM liner and raw natural stone boulders, we constructed the pond with both an aesthetic and a functional purpose that is harmonized with the environment. The pond itself had plenty of challenges; how does it sit with the existing topography, how does it circulate? Our experienced crew managed to circumvent this issue with the installation of a solar powered pump system allowing to pump without excessive energy consumption and ensuring clearer water in the long run for optimal plant growth which is fundamental to our sustainable practice ethos. The end product is a gorgeous ecosystem pond that acts as a peaceful oasis for the owner as well as a thriving home for fish and frogs! Seeing the through our clients eyes was priceless, especially since the pond has become the main centre of attraction for the family and a perfect escape from day to day life!
