INFO: The Island in Bentwater Estates Designs By Elizabeth would like to showcase this landscaping , where over 10,000 square feet of tropical plants and trees were used to create a functional but elegant space at The Island in Bentwater Estates. Located in Bentwater Estates, we were challenged to design an outdoor living space that is visually appealing and complements the natural beauty of the area, while also providing a communal space for residents and guests. Home & design The centerpiece is a carefully curated island, built around specially chosen native plants and colorful seasonal flowers for year-round visual interest. We hired landscapers with the best hands that chose the top quality materials like natural stone pathways and best hardwood decking to give an aesthetic appeal to this home and resist the elements. Immediately, one of the more obvious challenges was the uneven topography at the site and the existing drainage that could inhibit the establishment of our selected flora. That being said, our grading methods were pivotal and we placed a cutting-edge drainage system to make sure that no plant was ever deprived of moisture while also always staying clear of waterlodging. The end product is a stunning oasis, complete with winding trails, a calming water feature, and ample shady sitting spaces under beautiful pergolas. All of them carefully chosen to provide a feeling of relaxation and connection with nature, a place that invites you to socialize while also being a place of silence. Needless to say, our client liked the transformation and was very happy with the combined beauty with practicality.
