The Pohlman project embodies a stunning transformation that seamlessly merges functionality with aesthetic appeal. Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, this renovation began in 2017 with a clear vision: to create a larger, open-concept kitchen that enhances the flow between spaces. The existing wall that separated the kitchen from the family room was removed, resulting in a cohesive area perfect for both daily living and entertaining. This design choice not only increased the space but also allowed for a natural interaction between family members and guests, bridging the gap between cooking and socializing. In pursuit of a harmonious look, a palette of light kitchen colors was selected, complementing the existing tones in the family room. This choice enhances the brightness of the area, making it feel more inviting and expansive. A central feature of the kitchen is the new island, which provides additional workspace and seating, fostering an environment where family and friends can gather. The island serves as a functional focal point, combining practicality with a modern aesthetic that fits the transitional style of the home.
