- San Diego Residence by San Diego Pavers San Diego Pavers is excited to promote the 'San Diego Residence', a landscape that reflects our core values of quality and craftsmanship. Located in San Diego, this landscape piece was designed as an idyllic outdoor retreat while considering the stylish architecture of the home and the overall curb appeal. The consists of a custom-designed patio comprised of high-quality interlocking pavers, favored for their beauty and durability. The selection of warm earth tones was complimentary to the architecture of the home and mixed naturally into the surrounding landscape. Custom masonry retaining walls were designed to define the patio area while providing functional changes in elevation within the landscape design. Along with the hardscape, we incorporated native plants that require little-long term maintenance, which blossom with color in times when California suffers drastic moisture conditions. The plantings in the garden were arranged to provide interest throughout the year with beautiful flowering shrubs and ornamental grasses that benefit from low maintenance. One of the biggest challenges of this site was the height variations of the terrain. Our talented team utilized grading techniques to provide a level base of support to the patio and pathways, while maintaining slight delays in the path layout for proper drainage and support against erosion. We engineered a high-end irrigation system that is water-sustaining, while keeping landscape luscious and green. In the end, the completed outdoor living area became phenomenal. The cozy fire pit area developed to entertain with variegated pathways throughout the landscape. The client was ecstatic with their new landscape area, noting how it improved the aesthetics of their home and provided a usable outdoor space for relaxation and entertainment.
