The process began with a definite vision of a luxurious outdoor retreat that melds a contemporary cocktail pool, with a travertine patio. One challenge we faced was the clients' property sloped which presented design challenges, mainly drainage design and maximizing use of the outdoor space. Our experienced team developed a multi tiered approach to landscaping and plantings that added functionality and aesthetic value to the overall balance. The most impressive component of our includes the client's new cocktail pool which fit their style of entertaining friends and family. It provided soft angles and curves within their strictly linear spaces, of the modern architecture located inside their home. Surrounded by plantings with a lot of lush greens, and a colorful range of plants, the outdoor space, and cockail pool itself, provided an inviting atmosphere for clients and their guests to relax. The travertine patio also contributes to the tranquil design of the new outdoor space. Deliberately, travertine was selected to support added durability and slip resistance for outdoor space, all while bringing yet another designed, natural beauty of stone into the outdoor space. As dusk approached, the drink pool terrace was elegantly and softly lit by ambient lighting which also showcases the uniqueness of travertine and reflective colors in the landscape. Attention to detail continued throughout multiple plant selections, including native plant species which will thrive in the regional climate with little to no maintenance all year. Overall, the exceeded our clients' vision of transforming their backyard into a beautiful outdoor retreat. When finished, we provided a space with luxury, and function to the clients outdoor space that enhanced their property.
