This was a balanced composition of high-end hardscapes and beautiful softscapes. Our team chose to work with locally-sourced flagstone slabs for walkways and patios that not only last but look like they have always belonged in the area. Significant grade changes on site required us to build some retaining walls, and we took the opportunity to make them architecutural feature by using durable timber. As we rolled with the punches, here was one of the bigger challenges that we noted with each demo, the soil conditions that are known to exist in the Highlands Ranch Area. Our team of experts performed soil tests and soil amendments helped ensure the plants could thrive. We also installed a high-efficiency irrigation system to optimize water use, without sacrificing the colorful gardens packed with native perennials, ornamental grasses, and seasonal flowers. The end product was a beautiful patio that really wiped out our client expectations. At the centre lies a serene water feature, luring local wildlife and offering soothing sounds. Tactile seating zones encourage relaxation and socializing, while strategically positioned trees offer convenient shade and privacy.
