Rancho Santa Fe -3- Description Completed by Zuniga Group Inc Located in the beautiful community of Rancho Santa Fe, Zuniga Group Inc. completed the landscaping called "Rancho Santa Fe -3." This had the lofty goals of establishing an outdoor retreat that enhanced the natural beauty of the setting and provided a functional space for relaxation and entertainment. The had extraordinary design features that utilized native drought-tolerant plants spaced to provide a year-round color and texture, and included a variety of specimen trees that were placed for their visual appeal and for shade, including olive trees and citrus trees that had been grown for many years. A custom stone path, complete with soft LED lighting, was incorporated into the to eep the areas interconnected, as well as to provide safety and a glowing ambiance on evenings when the space would be utilized. One of the key hurdles of the was the uneven landscape, and access for heavy equipment proved to be difficult. We overcame these obstacles through grading techniques, and by hand-selecting materials such as locally sourced flagstone, and decomposed granite to create a seamless flow of the landscape throughout the property. Each element of the design was selected based on it's aesthetic as well as it's durability to create a landscape that would stand the test of time. The focus of this is the detailed water feature that creates a calming sound while water flows out of the feature into a tumbling creek-like effect. Surrounding the water feature is a xeriscape garden that displays beauty, blooms, and fragrant herbs, while conserving water. Upon completion, the clients were excited their new outdoor space, which reflects their style and is sustainable. We are proud of our work on Rancho Santa Fe - 3.
