Drainage Issues Completed by: Wilson's Natural Landscaping, LLC Service Areas: Concord, Fairview, Kannapolis, Locust, Midland, Millingport, Mount Pleasant, Oakboro, Red Cross, Stanfield, Mooresville, Charlotte, Huntersville At Wilson's Natural Landscaping, LLC, we take pride in changing difficult landscapes into beautiful outdoor areas. For our most recent , titled "Drainage Problems," we assisted a customer in Concord who had significant standing water on the property. We started the with design and evaluation of the property to help identify where water was in the yard(s) after significant rainfall. At this property, we found that the problem was mostly caused by compacted soil with little to no grading. We offered a totally nurtured plan using French draining systems at different locations to move water away from the structure to designated areas that possess drainage solutions. To better facilitate drainage in areas of yard(s) and enhance the landscape, we utilized permeable paver systems in the walking path areas for visual appeal. Beyond aesthetics, the permeable paver systems allow for natural drainage and growth to the soils below. We also adjusted and added native planting to the walking paths and the areas the client had solicited for planting. Our intention was to do this for beauty and and sustainability in the local area as well as native plants are more sustainable and drought resistant in our climate. Consequently, we endured several challenges, with notably having to identify underground utilities and working with varying degrees of soil conditions. Our team utilized their training and problem solving skills to adjust and both keep the on schedule and within cost. Ultimately, the end result made a complete transition. The property not only found resolution for its drainage issues but also seen an entirely remodled, beautiful landscape, leaving the client very content with the functional drainage and beautiful low maintenance gardens.
