Canterbury by Aureli Landscaping & Custom Stone Work Aureli Landscaping & Custom Stone Work is proud to present, Canterbury, a beautiful that created a new outdoor living area for a discerning client in the heart of Rochester, NY. Settled on a spacious backyard, this was intended to balance aesthetics and purpose, allowing for leisure with family, along with quiet relaxation. The scope of the work had detailed stone paths made of locally sourced bluestone to create sustainable durability and an enduring natural appearance to orientate with the nearby landscape. We also planted beautiful native plantings, stunning ornamental grasses, and colorful perennials to enhance the landscape, creating seasonal interest and eventually invite the local fauna to the new habitat, thus adding another element to the experience. Terrain was a major challenge, and the process of grading was still required to create a harmonious space on a slope. We designed tiered flower beds to further interest in both purpose and space, along with stormwater management. The crowning jewel of the Canterbury , but not forgotten, was the outdoor living area with a perfect stone fire pit as a custom feature with surrounding seat walls. This space was designed for year-round enjoyment, and we put a natural gas line in place for the fire pit. Subtle LED lighting throughout the pathway and seating area contributes to the enjoyment of the space into the night, finishing the with warmth. The outcome resulted in an overwhelming amount of gratitude from the client, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the results of our time, talent, and work. The Canterbury is a perfect example of the quality, craftsmanship, and service that Aureli Landscaping & Custom Stone Work is known for, and in doing this , we have built even stronger relationships with not only the client, but the surrounding community, as we slowly become known as the premier landscaping service in Brighton, East Rochester, Fairport, Greece, Irondequoit, North Greece, Penfield, Pittsford, Rochester, and Webster.
