Big Perennial Color Enlivens Mid-Town Fort Collins Deep Seeded Landscape and Design, Inc. is excited to present 'Big Perennial Color Brings Life to Mid-Town Fort Collins', a landscaping creating a highly dynamic urban landscape via vivid plant materials and an iterative design process. The is located in mid-town Fort Collins - a neighborhood that Deep Seeded Landscape and Design serves as well as many of the surrounding communities including Bellvue, Laporte, Loveland, Severance, Timnath, and Windsor. This features a beautiful selection of perennials for their colors, vibrancy, and seasonal interest. We have used native plants like Echinacea, Rudbeckia, and Salvia, which create a functioning ecosystem that attracts pollinators while reducing water use. We also used durable hardscape materials in place including locally sourced flagstone paths and decorative boulders to accentuate the landscape and plants. One of the challenges to the was the differing sun exposures across the site. We took time to analyze the light patterns on the site, so we placed sun-seeking plants adjacent to shade loving plants to ensure a thorough seasonal experience. The planning and intent allowed for enhanced daylight integration of the surrounding area, while maintaining the longevity of the garden. The outcome was a lush garden that pops with color and energy. It establishes a community space in mid-town, inviting people in to enjoy and experience. Clients and passersby commented on the familiar synergy of city living with the trailblazing enjoyment of nature. With a well-curated plant list, and an ideator design, Deep Seeded Landscape and Design has created an amazing landscape that delights clients and passersby with beauty and joy in a central urban area of Fort Collins.
