Hillside Landscape, Fort Collins, Colorado Deep Seeded Landscape and Design, Inc. is pleased to present the Hillside Landscape that has transformed outdoor space for our client in Fort Collins, Colorado. Located up in the foothills, this came with its challenges, not only due to the steep terrain, but also its limited access. We were able to effectively deal with these types of issues through a combination of design and ample preparation. Our design team worked closely with the client to come up with a landscape that cohesively integrated natural and outdoor living elements. Using stone from the area for retaining walls provided a beautiful material, along with the structural stability necessary to combat soil erosion. The collaboration of native plants, including Colorado blue spruce and wildflowers, not only provides beautiful colors throughout the seasons, but also adds to biodiversity, along with reducing maintenance. One of the significant components of this was the custom patio, constructed from durable pavers, allowing for a logical transition with the hillside. The patio is a ceremonial family element, with a fire pit in the center surrounded by comfortable seating. This allows the family to enjoy the outdoors throughout the seasons. We also provided a drip irrigation system to provide efficacious support for the verdant landscaping and conserve water. In construction, we mounted challenges such as rocky soil and a designated due date, however, our level of proficiency and commitment to detail in execution never waivered. Overall, we were able to end with an astonishing hillside landscape that adds visual aesthetics to the property and creates the outdoor retreat that the client had always envisioned. According to our client’s glowing review, we were ultimately successful in creating an experience that speaks for itself.
