The Essex Place Renovation project in Nashville, TN, embodies a seamless blend of timeless design and modern functionality. The journey began with the transformation of a dark, underutilized basement into a luxurious guest suite. The accomplished physician-owner envisioned a space that would not only invite guests but also provide them with a tranquil retreat. Our design-build team replaced the outdated staircase with a more robust and elegant option, ensuring safety and style. The basement was thoughtfully reconfigured to include a separate laundry room, a cozy sleeping area, a welcoming sitting area, and a spa-like bathroom. The soothing aqua and white color palette creates a serene ambiance, enhanced by glass accent tiles in the bathroom and carefully chosen textiles that whisper luxury. A couple of years later, we were entrusted with the next phase of this renovation — the creation of a master retreat on the upper level. This ambitious project involved gutting the existing space, reconfiguring the staircase, and creatively utilizing attic space to provide ample closet storage. The design was centered around calming neutral tones that evoke tranquility, accented with rich brown details that add warmth and character. Each element was meticulously selected to combine functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring that the master suite is both a personal sanctuary and a stylish showcase.
